Why We Build
Indigenous medicine communities carry an unbroken lineage and tradition that is at risk.
The goal is sovereignty; we build with communities, not for them.
What the elders carry here is among the oldest living knowledge on Earth. It has never been separable from the people who hold it, the communities who protect it, or the forest it grew from. None of the three stands alone.
More of the world arrives at that knowledge every year, and much of what it offers has travelled outward and changed lives far from here. These are the keepers of the forest, holding the water and the air the rest of us depend on. Reciprocity means the benefit travels back, and that they thrive from what they have kept.
When these communities lack local opportunities, the youth migrate to cities, leaving behind their land and tradition, and opening the door towards further deforestation and land displacement. In order to break the cycle of dependency, TerraKeepers works with communities to create holistic abundance at the source. We bring glue instead of band-aids.
Bitcoin is that glue - the substrate from which this entire mission is possible.
