Our Mission
We collaborate with Indigenous medicine communities to build it, and we build it so it stays in their hands. Water, food, shelter, energy, and education, community-owned from day one.
The first Sovereignty Blueprint is being built with the Kofán of El Diviso, in the Colombian Amazon. It is designed to travel.
Our Model
Project Fund
Every public donation to a project goes to the field. Water systems, bamboo infrastructure, food sovereignty, renewable power, and education. 100% of it, with nothing taken for overhead.
Stewardship Fund
The team, the travel, the accounting, and the systems that keep the work standing. Funded separately by visionary partners who choose to build the organization itself.
Money moves in one direction only. Stewardship can support Projects. Projects never fund operations.
We build with communities, not for them. Every project is community-led, culturally aligned, and designed for long-term sovereignty and cultural continuity.
Gifts to the Stewardship Fund build the organization. Gifts to a project go to the field at 100%.

A Community-Led Model for Regeneration
We are co-creating what we call the Sovereignty Blueprint, a holistic model that integrates ancestral wisdom, regenerative systems, and modern tools for self-sufficiency. Our first blueprint is being developed with a founding Indigenous medicine community. Once refined, it will serve as a living framework that can be adapted by others.
How We Work
Salaries and most supplies are initiated in Bitcoin and received in local currency in Colombia. Transparent, borderless, and verifiable.
We walk alongside the elders and medicine carriers whose knowledge holds these territories together, so that path continues into the next generation.
Our Story
It started with an invitation, not a project. Jose was received by Kofán elders in a village along the Colombia and Ecuador border, and what he found there was not a place in need of saving. It was a people carrying a body of knowledge older than any institution, holding a forest intact while the world around it was being cut, burned, and bought.
The first thing the community named was water. So the first thing we built was water. Locally installed filters, put in by hands that live there, maintained by people who stay. It was small. It worked. And it taught us the only rule we have kept since: the community says what is needed, and we show up with the tools, the funding, and the patience to help make it real.
From there the work grew the way a village grows. A well. A bamboo workshop raised by trained local builders. Half a hectare of food for each family. Solar coming online. A school breathing again. None of it imported as a finished idea, all of it decided in meetings on plastic chairs under a roof the community built.
We walk alongside medicine carriers so they can continue their path: protecting their territories, preserving their wisdom, and passing it to the next generation. Modern tools, clean energy and Bitcoin among them, belong in service to those traditions, never above them. This is reciprocity. We protect the living libraries of the Earth, and they protect all of us.
Today that vision is standing in El Diviso, and it is designed to travel. One community at a time, on their terms, at their pace.
The Team
Founder
Jose Reynoso has been deeply transformed by the wisdom and medicine of Indigenous elders, whose ways of seeing the world opened a path of healing, purpose, and connection. These experiences shaped the vision for TerraKeepers, a movement born from the call to protect sacred lands, uplift community-led solutions, and bridge ancestral knowledge with modern innovation.
Lead Architect
Jaime Peña is a Colombian architect based in Mexico with over 20 years of experience creating spaces rooted in harmony with nature. Founder of Arquitectura Mixta, his work blends sacred geometry, biomimicry, and organic design to bring architecture to life as a vessel for healing and connection. Deeply committed to working with Indigenous communities, Jaime sees architecture as a path of awakening, one that honors tradition, invites beauty, and supports sovereignty through structures that truly belong to the land.
